The live music lineup for the League City Texas Music Festival and Village Fair will be dominated by some of the leading lights of the Texas country and rock-country music scene. Some of the bands scheduled for the three-day festival play traditional country music while others straddle the country-rock divide, but all of them embrace the maverick independence of Texas music.

Friday's Music

7:00 p.m. Blue Broussard Band
"With real and meaningful lyrics, grounded in traditional country, and a fresh new sound, the Blue Broussard Band is proud to bring you “their kind” of country music."

8:30 p.m. Charlie Lucas Band
"You never know what you're going to get with the Charlie Lucas Band, these boys do it all, from rockin' it out to slowing it down with a Waltz. With their new album, Which Way To Turn, the Charlie Lucas Band aims to give you what you need."

10:30 p.m. Casey Donahew Band
"Although he’s nominated for a Gruene with Envy Texas music award as New Artist of the Year, Casey Donahew’s actually got six years, three albums and a legion of fans behind him. Donahew said his most-requested song is the tongue-in-cheek, 'White Trash Story,' in which he tried to come up with a far-fetched story about the most 'white trash things you could think of.'"

Saturday's Music

1:00 p.m. Buster Jiggs
"Buster Jiggs made a record that represents what is so right with our Texas music scene these days. The songs offered up on this disc are all solid and so damn catchy that this Texas music junkie is going to go ahead and say this album will finish in my Texas top 5 for the year." ~Glenn Taylor KRVL 94.3 Kerrville, TX

3:00 p.m. Rosehill
At only 26 years of age, Blake Myers’ and Mitch McBain’s are ROSEHILL --  incredible talent, brilliantly written songs  and perfect blending of rock and roll and country, and being selected and produced by my hero too, Radney Foster they are star-speeding their way to becoming one of the most well known bands in the country. ROSEHILL is a phenomenon of the best Country Rock Music talent, determination and solid-platinum- to-come. With  artist and producer, Radney Foster selecting them as his protégés and producing their new release, soon to come, you know these guys are the real deal!

Midnight River Choir

5:00 p.m. Rob Baird
Rob Baird first picked up a guitar when he was 8 years old and hasn’t put it down since. A Memphis native, he spent most of his life working on farms and ranches across the heartland and was introduced to country music of all kinds. Rob moved to Fort Worth and played his first live show at The Aardvark and when his earnings that night made him more than a month of ranching, he began to consider the idea of a career in music. In anticipation of his single release in January 2010, Rob is touring extensively in and around Texas and continues his writing trips to Nashville. His debut album with Carnival Recording is slated for a Summer 2010 release.

7:00 p.m. Brian Burke Band
Due to excellent songwriting and killer vocals, Brian is already creating a buzz in the Texas Music scene. With a full schedule, high energy live show and a much anticipated album in the works, the Brian Burke Band will be sure to keep you coming back for more!

9:00 p.m. Amy Hughes
Amy Hughes and the Dirty Seven like to describe their style of music as, “sorta rock, sorta country.” Some people call it, “country for people that don’t like country.” Either way both descriptions seem to hit the mark. Among the sea of faces, there are a few Metallica shirts, certainly some snake skin boots as well as a ton of Pat Green loving college kids, and believe it or not a group of Harley owners who bring their hog down for nearly every show. The eclectic nature of a D7 crowd is just the way these musicians prefer it.

11:00 p.m. Randy Rogers Band
"Playing two hundred nights seven years in a row, the Randy Rogers Band is honed to perfection.  When the fiddler and the lead guitarist trade licks, they make it look easy.  Like the Allman Brothers learned how to do this before kindergarten...Acts like Randy Rogers are the future." ~The Lefsetz Letter

Sunday's Music

1:00 p.m. Hamilton Loomis
Hamilton Loomis took his mentor, Bo Diddley's advice. It speaks volumes when the likes of Diddley, Johnny "Clyde" Copeland, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, and Albert Collins take you under their wings.  The Texas sensation is at the forefront of bringing roots music into the 21st century and redefining it for a contemporary audience.

3:00 p.m. Django Walker Band
“The only way to grow is to push myself outside my original comfort zone. It’s like, keep yourself anchored on the ground floor, but let’s expand. We want to be country, but more country-rock. Think of it as going from fiddles and pedal steel to blues harmonica and B-3 organ.” ~Django
